Clocks changed and I got my flight time wrong, can I still be rebooked?

This is more common than people think, especially around clock changes. Here is what to try:

1. Contact the airline immediately, even if the plane has gone.
2. Ask for standby or a paid change. It is sometimes cheaper than a new ticket.
3. Check your fare type. Flexible fares usually allow cheaper changes.
4. Ask for taxes and fees back if you can’t travel.
5. Don’t buy a new ticket first. Check whether your original can be changed.
